PUPPET THEATRE PERFORMANCE

YOU ARE INVITED...

There will be a Puppet Theatre performance at the Heritage Hall in Rising Sun on Saturday, June 14th, at 3:00p.m. The children from the Puppet Theatre Workshops at the Pendleton Art Academy will be performing.

Workshop facilitator and teacher, Karie Gipson of Giggle Box Productions, is a passionate child educator with a background in children's puppet theatre and children's education. Karie was an actor/director/ consultant for Madcap Productions Puppet Theatre in Cincinnati; and has a BA in Theater from Wilmington College in Ohio.

And, Saturday, June 14th is Flag Day! So, we're sure to see a creative patriotic rendition to celebrate the day. Children, ages 5-12, from the workshops have written the story, prepared costumes, created puppets, and prepared staging for their one-time performance at Heritage Hall. The renovated former Presbyterian Church on Main Street officially opened in May with a grand gala... and this will be the first public event held at the Heritage Hall. It's a beautiful venue... air conditioned, handicap accessible, and with some of the most beautiful stained glass windows around.

Adult tickets are $4 for the performance. Kids are free. Refreshments will be served. Come with your "red, white, and blue" to show your support!

Sponsored by the Ohio County Tourism and a grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs. Call Ohio County Tourism at 812-438-4933 for more information.
